What Company Wall & chat does
Posts, comments and reactions
Text and up to four photos, @mentions and #hashtags, comments with replies, and five reactions. Posts can go to the whole company, a department or a location.
Celebrations and greetings
Birthdays (day and month only, never age), work anniversaries and new-joiner welcomes are posted automatically; colleagues congratulate with one tap. People can opt out.
Polls
Single-choice polls with a closing date and a vote you can change.
Moderation
Reporting with auto-hide at a threshold, a moderation queue, hide, restore and remove with reasons, keyword filters, optional pre-moderation, posting suspensions and pinned posts. Posting needs the acceptable-use policy accepted first.
Chat with live delivery
Direct messages, groups of up to 50 and automatic team channels for each manager and their reports. Messages arrive live, with typing, read positions, replies, photos and PDFs, reactions, search, mute and pin.
Private by design
Only members can read a conversation, HR and administrators included. A compliance review needs a stated reason and a second person's approval, is time-boxed and is fully logged.
Retention and legal hold
Messages are purged after your retention period (two years by default), unless a legal hold applies.
On the phone
The Wall has its own tab in the app and chat sits in the header, with push notifications and inline reply.
Your rules
A feed HR can stand behind
- Nothing is posted about exits, and promotions only with the person's consent.
- Who may post, the edit window, image limits and banned words are your settings.
- Contributions can earn points in the engagement programme, reversed if a post is removed.
